SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 09/15/22 at 1237hrs, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Shaftsbury Barracks responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash with injuries located on RT 7A, in the Town of Shaftsbury directly in front of the Chocolate Barn. Upon arrival, Troopers observed vehicle #2 at a position of uncontrolled rest facing the roadway. Further investigation revealed that the operator of vehicle #1, Manuel Campos, was traveling North on Route 7A behind vehicle #2 and was traveling too fast for conditions and rear-ended Vehicle #2, which was making a left turn into the Chocolate Barn. Operator #2 was transported by Arlington Rescue to Southern Vermont Medical Center for minor injuries. Due to disabling damage on both vehicles, Monarch Towing Service’s assisted with removing the vehicles from the scene.

Vermont State Police were assisted by the Shaftsbury Fire Department, Arlington Rescue Squad, and Monarch’s Towing Service.
