SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On February 25, 2022, at approximately 1008 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 4 near Wheelerville Rd. in the Town of Mendon, Vermont.

Through investigation it was determined both vehicles were traveling east on U.S. Route 4 when the crash occurred. Vehicle #1 was in the right most lane as vehicle #2 was operating in the inside lane. Both operators reported their speeds to be between twenty and twenty-five miles per hour as it was actively snowing with the road surfaces being slick and snow covered. From statements on scene, it is believed that vehicle #1 lost traction and collided with the passenger side front corner of vehicle #2. Vehicle #1. No injuries were reported on scene.
