SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On 01-25-22 at approximately 1709 hours, VSP-Derby Barracks received a call reporting a motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles. The crash took place on VT Rte 105 in the area of Pond View Road in the Town of Charleston VT. All operators were still on scene and identified as above. Through investigation it was learned that Op #1 was heading eastbound on VT Rte 105 when he lost control on the snow covered roadway, traveling into the oncoming travel lane and struck V#2. Once V#2 was struck, it slid into V#3, which had been traveling behind V#1. Op #1 was transported by Newport Ambulance to North Country Hospital to be checked for minor injuries by. V#3 was able to be driven from the scene. V#1 and V#2 were towed from the scene by Grenier’s Towing. Charleston Fire Department was on scene due to leaking fluids and also assisted with traffic control.
