SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On this date and time, Vermont State Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash with entrapment on Rockingham Road in the Town of Rockingham (Windham County), Vermont.
Vermont State Police arrived on the scene and observed two motor vehicles in the middle of Rockingham Road. The first vehicle observed was a blue 2017 Hyundai Elantra, and it was in the northbound lane facing south. The second vehicle observed was a silver 2007 Toyota Corolla, and it was in the northbound lane facing north. Both vehicles appeared to have come to a position of uncontrolled rest in the middle of the roadway after a head-on collision.
Investigation revealed that Operator #1(Adams) drove left of the double yellow center line on Rockingham Road, causing a head-on collision with Operator #2(Bennett). Both operators were transported from the crash scene to local area hospitals before being sent to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to treat their injuries.
Vermont State Police concluded that Operator #1(Adams) was at fault for the crash. He was issued a ticket for violating Title 23 Vermont Statute Annotated 1031, Failure to Drive to the Right.
