SUMMARY OF CRASH: On the above date and time, Vermont State Police were made aware of a one car motor vehicle crash in the area of 645 Maple Grove Road in the Town of Pownal. State Police located a vehicle down a steep embankment with significant damage. The operator of the vehicle was not present, but located a short time later and identified as Hailey C. Lang. Investigation revealed Lang was travelling south on Maple Grove Road when she lost control and went off the east side of the roadway. Lang’s vehicle went airborne and struck several trees before coming to rest.

Vermont State Police were assisted by Bennington Police, Pownal Fire Department and A’s Towing. Speed is considered a factor in this crash.
