Some people think you cannot be found at fault in a car crash simply because the roads are slippery because of ice or snow. This is not true. You still have a duty to drive carefully no matter what the road conditions are. Driving too fast, not having good snow tires as well as many other reasons could be contributing causes to the motor vehicle collision. In the case noted below the passenger has a good claim against the driver’s insurance company because the driver was driving too fast for the road conditions.
