I just received the following email supposedly from American Express. Other than it’s obviously not from American Express another giveaway is that its from Always delete emails like this. Do not click on anything or respond:

This email is to notify you that you have a new payment pending on your American Express account

For safety reasons, The new incoming payment has been placed on hold. Update of your account is requred as a means to accept the new payment.
