SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On the above date and time, Vermont State Police responded to a report of a three vehicle crash with injuries on VT Route 100, in the town of Whitingham, Windham County. Investigation into the crash revealed Vehicle #3 was traveling southbound on VT Route 100 when it stopped to turn into the Sugarhouse. Vehicle #1 came upon Vehicle #3 and braked, causing the tires to lock up and slide uncontrollably into the northbound lane. As Vehicle #1 slid into the northbound lane it collided head on with Vehicle #2. Operator #1 and #2 suffered non-life threatening injuries and both were transported to Southwestern VT Medical Center for treatment. Vehicle #2 had two young children and a dog in the back seats that did not suffer any injuries. This crash remains under investigation. Vermont State Police were assisted by Whitingham and Wilmington Fire Departments, Deerfield Valley Rescue, Northern Berkshire EMS, and Heartwellville towing.
