SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On January 22, 2021, at approximately 1603 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks were notified of a three vehicle crash at the intersection of Killington Avenue and Victoria Drive, in Rutland Town, Vermont.
Through investigation it was determined that Operator #1 (Vasiluth) was operating vehicle #1, traveling west on Killington Avenue. Operator #1 (Vasiluth) lost control of vehicle #1, in an attempt to avoid rear-ending vehicle #3, Operator #1 (Vasiluth) steered around vehicle #3, crashing head-on into vehicle #2 and sideswiping, vehicle #3. Vehicle #1 and vehicle #2 were both totaled. Vehicle #3 was driven away from the scene by the operator. Neither Operator #2 nor Operator #3, were injured in the crash. Operator #1 (Vasiluth) was injured as a result of the crash and was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.
The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Rutland Town Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service.
