SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On 08/07/2020 at approximately 1853 hours, the Vermont State Police received a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries involving a Motorcycle.
Troopers identified the operator of Vehicle #1 as Martin Meyers (56) of S. Burlington, VT. The passenger of Vehicle #1 was identified as Evonn Meyers (54) of S. Burlington, VT. The operator of Vehicle #2 was identified as Julianne Seymour (53) of Bolton, CT.
Investigation into this motor vehicle crash has revealed Martin Meyers (OP#1), was traveling north bound on S. VT Route 116 in the Town of Bristol on a Motorcycle. OP#1 then entered the curve in the roadway while traveling too fast, crossed into the south bound lane of the roadway. At approximately the same time, Seymour (OP#2) was traveling south bound. OP#1 was unable to maintain control of his vehicle before sliding and striking the driver’s side of the vehicle #2.
Vehicle #1 and Vehicle #2 both came to rest at the intersection of S. VT Route 116 and River Rd.
M. Meyers and E. Meyers were transported to UVM Medical Center where they were treated for their injuries. Seymour was transported to Porter Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
Troopers were assisted on scene by members of the Bristol Police Department, Bristol Rescue Squad, Bristol Fire Department, Middlebury Rescue.
