SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On 5/14/20, at about 2:15 PM, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks were called to Interstate 91 Southbound near MM 52.9 in the Town of Weathersfield for a reported motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, Troopers located vehicle #1, a 2018 Chevy Spark in the median between the north and southbound lanes. V1 was found to be traveling southbound on I-91 when the operator, Robert A. Langmaid Sr, 48, of E. Concord Vermont, failed to maintain his lane of travel and struck vehicle #2, a 2006 International construction Truck being used to re-stripe I-91.
V1 then traveled across the left (passing lane) and down the embankment coming to a position of uncontrolled rest in the median.
There were no injuries in this crash. V1 was towed by Benny’s towing and V2 drove away from the scene.
Vermont Civil Violation Complaints to be issued:
Title 23 V.S.A. Section 1038, Driving Lanes Marked for Traffic; For OP1 failing to maintain his lane.
and
Title 23 V.S.A. Section 1081(a)Basic Rule and Maximum Limits; For OP1 failing to drive at a reasonable and prudent speed with the hazards present (marked construction vehicles with amber lights and arrow signs operational,actively working)
