Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much money is my case worth?

A: Your case is worth either what the insurance company agrees to pay or the amount of a cash award granted by a jury or arbitration panel. Most cases are not decided by a judge. We examine all conditions surrounding your case in order to arrive at a figure that we believe the insurance company will pay for your injuries. These conditions include how the accident happened, what injuries you suffered, and future loss of income. We look at every detail so that we can obtain fair compensation for your injuries.

Q: How long will it take to get a fair and reasonable settlement offer?

A: Cases can vary in length from weeks, months to years in some instances. Usually, there are valid reasons for this. For example, most settlements and awards for injuries cannot begin to be negotiated until medical treatment has been completed. Generally speaking, the more medical treatment you receive, the more valuable your case becomes. We never rest, however. While we wait for your treatment to be completed, we gather the information and documentation that increases the value of your case. We constantly do everything that we can to move your case forward toward a positive settlement.

Q: Will I have to go to court?

A: If the insurance company agrees to pay an amount that we think is fair, then your case will probably not go to court. This is what happens in many situations. Some cases do require a formal trial proceeding. in either situation, hiring a law firm with experience in handling personal injury cases is critical. We prepare all of our cases as if they are going to court, and this is the very reason why many of our cases get settled outside of court. We are always prepared, and our preparation allows us to negotiate from a position of strength helping you obtain fair compensation for your injuries.
